I wear both my bandana and my regular face mask.

I wonder what we'll do with all these masks once we get back to the point of not needing one. Throw them away possibly, or maybe some type of celebration mask burning or the like.  I'll probably keep mine, as a keepsake of this era we're currently going through.

I just might do that when I go out on Friday morning (to my office).

I wonder what we'll do with all these masks once we get back to the point of not needing one. Throw them away possibly, or maybe some type of celebration mask burning or the like.  I'll probably keep mine, as a keepsake of this era we're currently going through.


Why does everybody here keep asking what we are going to do with the masks when the pandemic is over?  We are going to keep them, that's what we are going to do.

1)  As an after-effect of the pandemic, mask wearing will become a more regular thing than it has in the past. It's part of the new culture that has arrived. Period.

2) In the beginning of all this, masks were IMPOSSIBLE to get, either online or in brick and mortar stores. I was wearing bandanas and cut up sheets fashioned into masks.  People were posting videos on this board  of how to make masks. Yet I noticed lots of people in the street had masks and I wondered where they possibly could have got them when they were so impossible to find. They must have had a secret stash. I, for one, do not want to be caught short again.  Again, it will simply part of the  new culture to have masks on hand.

I'm not sure maybe perhaps giving them to hospitals or some medical facilities if they want them?  ???

Keep them in a sealed container for when you  have influenza in the future.

It is worth noting that the cases for influenza are down for this winter, as 'almost everyone' is being careful with wearing face masks

This is what I see at work, for the small percentage who even use them at all. Even the cleaning crew who comes through the office twice a week isn’t wearing them anymore.

2 masks are better than one, but it’s marginal compared to everyone wearing them properly, if at all.

Oh there are some people who wear two masks one on their nose and the other on their chin so it appears as if they're masked but they can still breathe maskless through their mouth.

👍*knocks on wood* I don’t want a reason to have to find one. But I would rather be prepared and have them in case. So I too will be keeping mine.

Sure if you feel like it. I double masked this weekend when I had to go to the store. I didn’t notice my breathing to be any different.
