I've been noticing an increase in synthpop songs reaching the billboard charts this year. This type of music wasn't even common in 2019, but it seems like this year there's an 80's type of throwback trending right now. I can definitely see synthpop being big in the 2020's, or at least the early 2020's. These are just a few synthpop songs that reached the billboard charts.

Synthpop (aka electropop) was popular in the late 2000s and early 2010s with songs like bullet proof, poker face and tik tok, in the early/mid 2000s bands like the Killers were reviving the '80s retro sound. That's almost 20 years of '80s revival which is ridiculous, that's how unoriginal our culture has become.
