Subject: I am worried and upset that Corona might ruin the rest of my 20s.

I've got a couple years left and this is not it. I would like to enjoy the rest of my time being a youth by traveling and having fun. I'd rather this had happened in my early 20s or even mid 20s.
I'm not gonna stop having fun in my 30s but I would feel a hell of a lot better being at the club every weekend in my 20s than in my 30s.

I was also hoping to go to college on the physical campus and socialize with my high school friends, but thanks to the coronavirus, I may not have that and I'll probably use remote learning for my classes.

I was planning on getting out of my shell by getting out there and start dating again before turning 45 next year. :( Looks like that won't be the case. Thanks, Corona. At least I enjoyed my 20s.

Rather than dwelling on what might have been you have to find a way to except this new normal. I think socialising after a fashion will restart by the end of the year.
There are plenty of apps out there for finding a partner. Hell, people met on these very message boards and got married.

One couple married not that long after I joined the boards in around 2000 and they haven’t been around for years. That was so long ago I’ve forgotten names, but one might have been Goldie.
The other one I can think of are members who still sometimes post. Jessica and Rice Cube met via the boards, married and have a son.

Lester & Goldie. They announced their engagement a few days before Carlos & I did. And of course Jessica & Rice Cube. I want to say there was another couple but I don't recall.

We were all used to our "old normal" that we as New Yorkers have to get used to this "new normal".

Yeah, there have been a few married couples-not just Hawkslayer & Lady Hawk, but Tam & Big Nasty, Loki & Sweetie44, & of course Yours Truly & Don Carlos. There could be more but I don't recall at the moment.

Yep, it's in the Inland Empire in the southern portion of the state. I've never been there myself, but have seen it on a map.

Hopefully this will be the last year the pandemic will be this serious. It could be worse (worse being getting sick and dying obviously). Lots of seniors this year are watching their last year of high school go up in smoke.

Over the years I have never seen a total eclipse of the sun or of the moon, only partial eclipses.
