Wow, a lot of that ended up being right for once :o

I mean, most people don't have IoT (Internet of Things) devices installed in their homes, but all this technology is cheaply and readily available. To be honest, this is how I thought future homes would be like even in the 2000s, so it's cool to be living in the future :D

Wow, those were fairly accurate predictions. I like that they were striving for "de-cluttering of technology" ;D Lots of todays people tend to forget it, but in the past they were really looking forward to all this convenient technology we have now!

Wow, that video is just about accurate, they got most things right, Back in 1989 way before social media we all had interaction with one another and never stared at our stupid phones all the time.

Especially with smart home technology (like Alexa), the part when he was talking about the brightness of lights and commanded it to play Bach.

The video's more accurate than the other prediction videos I've seen so far. You got voice commands, projectors, and home/room temperatures.

I miss those days. No smartphones, or social media.

Seemed nice back then, except for the AIDS scare and the continuation of the Cold War.  ;)

Oh lol. No, I was talking about the smartphones and how great it was in those days to interact with each other instead of a phone or any other device all the time.

Yeah, that's definitely the main downside of smartphones and social media. I thought you were romanticizing the 80s when you replied that.

Now it seems like everyone is doing it, How in the hell did we as a society become bored with face to face interactions?

I think in 1989 we still had those brick phones.

Did they predict that in 1989?

Perhaps they got it right for rich people's homes in 2020, but my home looks exactly like that 1989 home in the video.  ;D

I actually want to see real zero-gravity hoverboards on the market similar to those from BttF Part II, but zero gravity hasn't been fully realized (and possibly never will be).

Those self-balancing scooters marketed as "hoverboards" back in 2015 were just unimpressive and dangerous.

I blame Apple partly but I've heard that a common complaint of the 2000s is that even before the iPhone came out, people were too busy texting on their phones.
Phones are simply convenient especially if you're someone who has friends and family from halfway across the world. I can understand this sentiment, but I much prefer the friends I have online. I prefer being able to go online since it's so much easier to find people who share my interests for one.

I want to see those Mandelorians that go fast just like Michael J.Fox rode in.
