Backlash. I see too many things on the horizon to be more specific.

I predict that sometime around August or September of this year, the North Korean government will return the USS Pueblo to the US Navy after having been held captive since 1968. It has since become a popular tourist attraction in Pyongyang as a war trophy but is still listed as an active ship on the US Navy's roster.
This will be a massive PR victory for the Trump administration (especially if the Pueblo can be made seaworthy and sail back to the US under her own power) and could be enough of a boost to help Trump win a second term.
I'm guessing this deal has already been worked out between President Trump and Kim Jong Un, it's just being delayed so it can have maximum influence on the upcoming presidential election.

:(
I can't predict on how 2020s reception will go. Like with all decades we have a "If it's modern then it sucks" mentality where we're more critical on what's happening now, but then turn around 15 years later and talk about the same era as "the good old days". For now people are excited for the 2020s, but that could change in a month.

I think there's a 35% chance Trump gets re-elected, if so, the 2020s will probably be the most culturally left-wing decade in US history. Either way Republicans have to transform their party or they'll face their eventual collapse due to the demographic shift that's been happening for the last 20 years.

More neoliberalism (i.e. nothing can exist unless it makes money). I honestly can't say if it's gonna be the decade of Trump or not, but I am sure that with our increasingly connected world, it's gonna become easier and easier for people and companies to connect with and influence others. The conveniences of an online world may also play into neoliberalism too.

- The global economy enters recession towards the end of the year as the China-US trade war rages on.
- Britain leaves the European Union but will not sign a trade agreement in time by the end of year.
- Trump will win the US election more convincingly than in 2016 and Republicans will take back the House.
- American tech companies will be embroiled in a huge scandal related to government spying.
- Many pretenders in the streaming TV industry get pushed out.
- Drones will start small-scale commercial delivery operations in the US this year.
- Air taxis become a viable industry.
- Huge and unprecedented forest fires will rage in North America and Europe this summer.
- 100 years after Prohibition, teetotalling (giving up alcohol) will become a big trend.
- Classical music/pianos will be a feature in a lot of pop songs this year.
- Long hair and guys wearing nail polish and earnings becomes a big thing.
I'll try to think of more in the end but that seems like enough :P

It won't be the first time he's taken action like this. Anyhow, I predict he will get reelected in November. Many view as the new Reagan but even better. One that has a pair and shows zero hesitation, and that's what most Americans want in a leader.

Ummm... have you seen his approval rating? You're acting like the vast majority of Americans like Trump and the way he's leading our country, when that is simply not true.
I also didn't know separating families and throwing kids in cages is considered having a pair and showing zero hesitation.
Those things should NOT be qualities of a POTUS. As the leader of the most powerful and influential country in the world, one must be strategic and smart. Two things Trump is not.

I can't speak for most Americans as I don't agree with them, but his approval is just above 50%. Also some actually love the fact that he's not afraid to tell non-Americans to go back to their own country and wants to make America for Americans only, the greatest people in the world (lol). Many people like to think of non-Americans as less than human now. Of course I can't agree with what's going on as I'm married to a foreign immigrant. And yeah, he's telling non-Americans to go back to their own country, but he's also telling AMERICANS to go back to their own country (even though their country is literally America). This is because of race/ethnicity.

Seeing the list of albums to be released this year, it's going to be same as the other late 10's years. Dua Lipa, Halsey, Migos, and Cardi B are some of them. I'm hoping the music will be at least as good as 2018. Meanwhile Green Day and Weezer are releasing albums this year, plus a few names from other eras such as Kesha and Iggy Azalea.

This disease looks like it's seasonal, so I'm actually scared the second wave that's going to come in late 2020 will be more deadly than this one. I don't really think the second wave will be deadly as the first, but it will be a while to get things back to normal. As long as we get to the peak and flatten the curve then there's hope at least. Your premier in Ontario is at least doing a good job warning people and stuff about the virus. Even though he was cutting and destroying the province at least he's taking this thing seriously. That's surprising and worrying. Maybe he will become Prime Minister of Canada after all ;D
In the 1918 flu pandemic, the second wave was worse than the first. It got started in spring 1918 but didn't manage to infect and kill many people before summer came. But by late 1918 it came back with a vengeance and people started dropping like flies.
https://www.history.com/news/spanish-flu-second-wave-resurgence
Reported cases of Spanish flu dropped off over the summer of 1918, and there was hope at the beginning of August that the virus had run its course. In retrospect, it was only the calm before the storm. Somewhere in Europe, a mutated strain of the Spanish flu virus had emerged that had the power to kill a perfectly healthy young man or woman within 24 hours of showing the first signs of infection.
In late August 1918, military ships departed the English port city of Plymouth carrying troops unknowingly infected with this new, far deadlier strain of Spanish flu. As these ships arrived in cities like Brest in France, Boston in the United States and Freetown in west Africa, the second wave of the global pandemic began.

But what about businesses such as my barbershop, I really need a haircut.

I guess the only safe option is to learn how to do your own haircut with certain haircare supplies. There are tons of YouTube videos about it.

"Let it grow, let it grow
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it grow, let it grow
Turn away and grow some more
I don't care what they're going to say
Let the storm rage on
The comb never bothered me anyway"

Last time I cut my own hair this was back in 1979 when by accident, My Mother was doing a chore and I took a big scissor chopped my own bangs, I was a small boy by the way 5 years old and I didn't know any better so in a few of the school pictures from 1979 and I think 1980 too you could see where I cut it but it took about a year or so to grow back and that's why I don't think I will ever cut my own hair, will let someone else do it. ::)

I will use a scissors for other things like cutting and stuff but I will never cut my own hair unless someone else is doing it for me, I was a stupid 5 year old child back then I didn't know any better, I was more curious and while My Mother was doing something I grabbed them and chopped my own bangs off and then when it came time for class pictures My Mother back then felt embarrassed for me but I went out there and took the single picture for the camera, I'm pretty sure we all had moments of curiosity back then as a child.

My mom cut my hair all the time when I was a kid...until I started getting it cut professionally, in a salon. She has a cosmetology license, and she has said that she'd be glad to cut my hair anytime during this pandemic period (how ever long it lasts).

Why not go for the Albert Einstein look?

Long hair will become a thing again for guys. There is no point to the undercut and using excessive hair products when you can't show it off. Its just wasted effort. Either let it grow or shave it all off. That's one thing that will happen again.

That would be refreshing. The so-called "undercut" is a pretentious look (it shows that one is "trying" a bit too hard) and "product" is beyond ridiculous. "Product" is something one is convinced one needs by Madison Avenue, the fashion industry,
etc. when one really doesn't. I say good riddance to it. Things (and physical looks) becoming more truthful and unvarnished (we are already seeing this with celebrities broadcasting from home, etc) will be a positive fallout of this pandemic.

I think the undercut actually looks good on most guys. You can still have long hair and an undercut. They aren’t contradictory.

Looking good isn't a bad thing. I need eye candy! And undercuts don't require much product, at least not for me. If there was no such thing as wind, I wouldn't need any product for my (now gone) undercut.

I have never fancied baldness, but always wanted my hair to look like this.

Nothing will happen besides people being encouraged to hand out candy with gloves probably.

Revisiting an earlier post I made...
In sports, the Dodgers will probably NOT win the World Series. (If that holds true, then it'll be a 32-year drought for them.)
I'm glad this prediction did NOT come true. They ended their WS drought on October 27th 2020!
