2013 you can say still has some connections to today (in a relative sense). But 2012 feels quite dated and far removed now.

2012 has felt dated for awhile. I don't remember when but probably some time in the Mid-2010's it already started feeling dated. Songs like "Call Me Maybe" and "Gangnam Style" didn't age well, but I'm sure there will be nostalgia for it in the near future.

bruh, 2012 felt outdated by 2014. So much transition occurred in just a couple years. At this point, in 2022, 2012 feels like a whole different world looking back & it freaks me out, personally that's the first year I can remember quite well start to end, so the concept of all that being an entire DECADE ago blows my mind. Another thing that's strange is the music production peaked in quality by 2011, so even tho songs from that era are "old", and certainly outdated in style, they still sound crisp and clean. The overall vibe of life was so happy and positive back then too. The internet's very different today, memes from back then are completely different than memes today. So yeah almost everything's different now

In a way, it's hard to believe it's been 10 years. It's almost at 10 years since I first met my current wife (in October, in Kiev).

2012 is 10 years ago, many days have passed, maybe coz of my age but... 2012 feels like 2 weeks ago. It's hard to explain why I feel that way. Perhaps when you are 65 it will make more sense. 2012 to today went by in a flash.

Both my Dad & father-in-law died in 2012-ON THE SAME DAY!!!!  :\'( :\'( :\'( :\'(  It is hard to believe they have been gone for 10 years already. It seems like it was just last year.

The fashion and memes from the pre-Trump years in general look very old fashioned. What doesn't seem old in a way is the music, so much of the 2010s EDM sound has now become standard elevator/ambient/stock music for commercials, the news and business presentations etc. so it never really went away.

2012? That's nothing! I've got shirts older than that. They're nice shirts too.
