Subject: Late 2019 is When Music Started to Get Better

This is when Post Malone came out with Circles, the Weeknd and Dua Lipa released their retro pop albums, and other good songs started to come out. You really starting noticing it getting better in 2020. But in late 2019 it started to improve. It wasn't JUST trap on the radio anymore. It was still around but it wasn't dominating anymore. There was more variety and it was a breath of fresh air.

I'd say shift that back a year - late 2018 is when things got better. By summer 2018, pop was dead & trap music was a rap genre. Late 2018 is when pop & trap combined, giving us the era we've pretty much been in since, where songs have a new blend of melody & rhythm

No it hasn't. The last hit was by Ariana Grande in early 2019. Since then it's been replaced by retro pop.

the current 2nd place song (First Class) is trap rap. Jimmy Cooks by Drake was #1 last week, that's trap rap. Heat Waves has been the biggest song of the year so far, that's trap pop. Trap is still the moment
