2012 - Call Me Maybe by CRJ, train trip around Italy and Switzerland, Usher's "Looking For Myself" album, Battleship, Wii U, traveling around Europe, London Olympics, Gangnam Style

2013 - JT's 20/20 Experience, Kendrick Lamar, lots of good hip-hop in general, PS4

2014 - Good music, Guardians of the Galaxy

2015 - Getting married, deployment, FF7

2016 - Good music, Deadpool, trip to Japan in Summer

2017 - Blade Runner 2049, retirement from Navy, good Latin pop

2018 - Ariana Grande's Sweetener album and "One Kiss" by Dua Lipa, trip to my wife's home country to celebrate our marriage/wedding, Drake's "In My Feelings"

2019 - "Circles" by Post Malone, trip to Japan and Hawaii, trip to Mexico City, buying two new houses

2011: My life as a whole was terrible this year, but it'd be the last year I would be willing to time travel to (as in, I'd never be willing to time travel to any year AFTER this). Even then, only January, or December 2010 to be safe.

I still consider it a Fall 2019 song as that's when it first became popular and on the charts. It just happened to have longevity. It's been on there 55 weeks strong now, hence more than a year. It's not like Doja Cat, Roddy Ricch, or Dababy who released their music in late 2019 but weren't heard until 2020.

When I think of fads and trends of the 2010s, the things I think of first are fidget spinners, vines, Pokemon Go, viral videos of songs in different languages (Gangnam Style, Despacito), catch phrases (swag, yolo, low key, etc.), social media challenges, etc. The 2010s were full of fads.
