They sound VERY mid-2010s. Looks like high-bpm pop with deep basslines was the norm back then. It's unlike today where most pop songs have lower tempos with deep basslines, synths, and percussion.

Desiigner was obviously a Future clone, but he did something that Future didn't even do before: get a Billboard #1 hit. ;D
I don't really like the song, but I think it has enough of a catchy, dark trap beat and mumbling vocals to be remembered for years to come.
