^How I miss those. 2013/2014 was my happyest year in ny life so far.
Tortoishell cats, Westie dogs, Rav4 SUVs were all the rage here back then. In general cars looked better than now and there was a larger choice of bodystyles (now it's mostly SUVs).
Selena Gomez was bigger than Ariana Grande, Lorde came outta nowhere with a bang and One Direction ruled. Kesha and Katy Perry were still relevant. Frozen was huge. Windows Phone was still sonewhat relevant. Same for Toshiba laptops. :-[
I don't remember so many people checking their phones all the time back then. I also still had a dedicated mp3 player (sound quality was better even when compared to my recent phone).
Overal 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 school years had good music (if slightly less upbeat and happy than in the summer of 2012), but the vibes of the culture was super cool. :)

Those are my favourite university years, especially the late 2012 and late 2013 semesters.

While I miss 2012 the most, 2013 was a pretty great year for pop culture. The music scene was diverse (Thrift Shop, Counting Stars and Royals are amazing), GOAT games were released like GTA V and The Last of Us, and original TV series were on streaming such as House of Cards (until we found out that Spacey was a pedo later on) and Orange Is The New Black.
If I had a time machine, I wouldn't mind going back to 2013.

Yeah, I started uni in September 2013. It was a pretty good year. My first time living away from home.

2013 was the best year of the 2010s by far. It had the best music, best culture, it really defined the decade a lot. 2013 was a transitional year. It was a year that transitioned from the early 2010s to mid 2010s pop culture. I remember seeing many changes in pop culture that year while the year was going on.

There was also the transition in design with desktop and mobile interfaces becoming more flat, which was and still is controversial.
