God I hope that when it hits January 1st, my problems will disappear and the pop culture will change instantly into an 70s,80s,90s, early 00s hybrid cause I really really really hate the 2010s. Did I mention how much I hate the 2010s? The 2010s sucks, and it isn't me, it's the decade's fault.

Sadly, there won't be another good decade anymore. The 2010s suck so much like very much so. This is the decade of hell and it's worse than any other decade that ever existed because mumble rap.

All I ask is that the Top 40 be good. I remember when I was a kid, musical geniuses like Mozart and Bach were topping the charts, but now it's all soulless, corporate, derivative, grade-F TRASH! I listen to the Top 40 every waking and even sleeping moment and I absolutely HATE it!

People keep telling me that there is music outside the Top 40 but I have yet to hear them on the radio.  ::)

We have the technology to make the next decade even better.  Better... faster... stronger !

The best customer interaction will be... no interaction !

Well there won’t be any straws or bags to forget. They’ll soon be banned. You’ll have to provide your own bag and straw.

I didn't enjoy it, for personal reasons and the fact that the 00s (which were my youth decade) were left in the past.

The 10s took me from 20 years old to 30. The very early 10s had a few nice memories, 2010 felt just like the twilight of the 2000s, for me.

2011 was where it started to feel different.

My 20s were in general a disappointment, now I've just got middle age to look forward to, not a nice thought at all :(

Edit: To expand, I don't use any of the "new fangled" technology of this decade. Maybe only contactless payment via Visa card.

The last major innovation that was something that changed my day to day life was the self scan checkout till at supermarkets, in about 2007.

These past years after the summer of 2014 have been very very hard for me and my family. My brother has been acting erratically this past year. And I sense some negativity in people when they communicate with me, like I put them off or sth. I've turned invisible or being public enemy number 1. :-X
I need some very good vibes as I think I've been hexed or sth.
2010-2013 and the first months of 2014 were wonderful however, the only years from this decade I'll ever miss!

I never post/think like that about 1996, 2001 and 2002 due to personal reasons. I will always prefer the early 2010's and the 2013/2014 school year (although I was working at that time and no longer a student, early part of 2014 was better for me). I dislike most of the pop culture and politics since the second part of 2014 and even more so since 2016.

I think the majority of the decade sucked because of the upswing of violence.

I for sure won't reminisce about the early 2010s or late 2010s, and I bet you anything most people will in the future. I hate those eras but I think most people love them. I will however reminisce about 2013 and the mid 2010s though, that wasn't an awful time. But seems like most people hate it. But still bad enough to mark the decade on the whole as very bad especially because of the early 2010s and late 2010s. Even to this day I don't reminisce about the early 2010s except for 2013, because it was just really that bad of an era so that won't be happening for me in the future even if the '20s are worse.

True, it's even worse/darker than 2016 which is about as bad as it got in the 2010's. Although the current events are similar to what was going on in the mid 2010's like Ferguson, Baltimore, etc. It's just this year you have the pandemic on top of that, and the pandemic alone was enough to ruin the year.

I highly doubt the '20s are going to be some great prosperous decade but there is that very small possibility that the economy becomes better than ever and everything goes back to normal but I highly doubt that at this point. So far the '20s suck almost as equally as much as the 2010s but at least pop culture is a little less boring which is only a small improvement. At least you can turn on the radio and hear a catchy funky throwback song in the midst of all the tragedies happening in the world. In the 2010s there were also a lot of tragedies but the music wasn't as good then for the most part.

The mid-late 2010s were really only chaotic politically, for the most part it didn’t have any impact on our everyday lives - you could have ignored the news entirely and lived in blissful ignorance. That’s what makes 2020 so different, this affects everyone’s daily routines significantly and you really can’t get away from it. It’s not an exaggeration to say we haven’t faced such disruption to normal life since WW2.

Sometimes I feel like in the future when people who didn’t experience a decade start asking questions about it, it will be very easy to romanticize the decade with cheap pop culture nostalgia that looks cool even if the politics sucked or better yet turn something like 9/11 into a tragedy(which it is but still) into some sort of competition of remembering it just for the sake of it.

I remember people hated the 2000s in the early 2010s and ranted so much about how awful the music was(and no I don’t care if some of you liked and will reply “well I didn’t” when a lot clearly complained left and right about it) and now people are longing for it lmao.

It's about the age of the person. I remember clearly when I first joined here in the early 2010s everyone hated the 2000s but I didn't. Now because the majority of people here are how old I was in the early 2010s, they love it and I hate it. And the cycle continues.
