I think what makes a good decade to me is a decade with good music it doesn't have to be great just a decade with variety and good mainstream music choices,good politics on not associating to much into politics so much, a somewhat good economy,iconic clothing that really represents the decade and TV shows that are good and really bring a decades culture to life that's what makes a good decade to me!

Bearable pop culture. To me, pop culture isn't just shallow, it makes the flavor and energy of a decade. If the music sucks, it's hard for me to like the decade as a whole.
One thing the 00's and 10's doesn't have that the 80's and 90's does is a great energy.

Like others said, bearable music and pop culture and a good economy as well as not constant depression and violence in the world.

Most people would probably put the 1890's, 1920's, 1960's, or 1980's, as the ULTIMATE examples of what a decade should be like! ;D

1991 is the biggest divided year. Early '91 vs Late '91
Early ‘91 (analog age still/last time it felt like we were in the 20th century from hindsight) and late ‘91 (digital age/closer to where we are today)
It was the biggest divided year in the latter half of the 20th century and most well known.
