As if R Kelly is not already in enough trouble, it came out yesterday the Feds are charging him for (a) kiddie porn, (b) enticement of minors, (c) obstruction of justice, (d) kidnapping, and (e) racketeering.  :o

Adding insult to injury, he faces Federal charges not only in Northern Illinois Federal District Court, but also in the Eastern New York Federal District that covers New York City. And... the New York City prosecutors want a piece of him too.

Well R is still proclaiming innocence, so it looks like he is going to “go the distance”. He beat these sorts of charges before, so I imagine he has confidence that he’ll prevail again.

You’d think that with the feds allegedly having video of him that it would be hard to beat that rap, but way back when, he was acquitted even though they had video that clearly was him and some underage girl.  8-P

With all the charges against him, if he gets convicted, he’ll never get out of jail.

An arraignment hearing for R will be held in Chicago today. The prosecutors want the judge to deny bail for R.  :-\\. If that happens, he may never see the outside again.

Meanwhile his alleged “sex slaves” posted a video on YouTube, and they appear to be OK.

In today’s news, the woman (who as an underaged girl) was featured in the film for which R was tried and acquitted back in ‘08, has decided to testify against him. A big reason that he was acquitted back then was her refusal to testify.  ::)

R is now scheduled to appear in New York Federal Court for an arraignment on charges filed there. That proceeding will occur on August 2nd.

U.S. Marshals will escort him to New York (and back) to serve as R’s protection. He then has a status conference in the Chicago courts on September 4.

Today’s story is that R’s “crisis manager” has resigned his position, after doing a TV interview where he essentially said that he would never let his daughter be alone with R.
