All of the warmest years on average have occurred in the 21st century, ignoring 1998, and most of those were in the 2010s, with 2016 being the warmest. 2017-2019 so far have been cooler compared to the mid 2010s, but the 2020s will be even hotter and this will only continue.

I have the feeling the temperatures will rise here in New York within the next couple of years.

Now that you bring it up there's actually a theory that the 2020s will be a generally colder decade compared to the previous ones due to lowered sun activities:

I don't know about that, but I do know this year so far has been colder than usual. May definitely doesn't feel like May.

It's been quite chilly lately, hopefully temperatures will start getting into The 70's soon.

Colder weather doesn’t mean no climate change. The weather just gets more extreme in both directions.

I believe that weather climate changes comes in patterns of not so regular patterns of every x years.

Dat Arctic heatwave. Hopefully some of it comes down because I'm sick of this cold weather in Ontario!
