Subject: Megathreads

Ok, gang.
So something is on my mind. What causes a simple InThe00s thread to become a megathread with dozens of pages, thousands of views, and hundreds of replies?
Threads such as:
OMG DECADEOLOGY NOSTALGIA LOVE!!!!!1111111
Farewell, John Titor
Anybody Got any Money?
Some of these threads have gone down as InThe00s legend.
What say you? ???

I prefer to post in already existing threads than post in new ones. I guess that's what ultimately creates megathreads :P

I guess threads that get constantly derailed or are subjectless are the ones to go become endless.

My guess is that to become a megathread is to keep on posting and posting to keep up the number count.
