Subject: Your fav song of 2019 (so far!)
Written By: temaichi on 03/14/19 at 1:24 pm
List me your fav songs of this year so far. I`m genuinely interested in what you guys listen to! :)
This has been mine for quite some time. The single was released in February. I like it because i can relate to it on a personal level and i believe that it speaks alot for today`s society. Very catchy chorus aswell!

Oh, I heard that song when it was on Spotify's new rock playlist. Good choice. 0O
It's a tough one for me between Tell Me It's Over by Avril Lavigne and No Drug Like Me by Carly Rae Jepsen. I think the latter is the better song, but I relate to the first one because I'm still friends with my ex and sometimes I feel confused, and that's what the lyrics are about. ;D

She has a cult following and I'm a part of it ;D

Her music a lot better now (if you like electropop). When you have 5-10 instruments playing at the same time it's like ear porn.

Actually it was Owl City who jumped the shark with that song. I was a big fan of him in his early days but he just kind of lost it around that time.

Carly Rae Jepsen has been very popular among the Pop circles ever since she has dropped her 2015 album "E-MO-TION" which is widely considered as a Pop masterpiece. Her comeback this year is therefore a pretty big deal ;D

Before Call Me Maybe she was still doing some music work in Canada and touring and stuff. Sometimes her songs appeared on Canadian radio, and this went back all the way to 2008 and 2009. But when Justin Bieber promoted her in 2012, she blew up. And the annoying song that we already heard in Canada repeatedly on the radio in late 2011, we had to continue to hear all throughout 2012. ;D

My favourite song other than Tell Me It's Over has gotta be Birdie. Warrior is solid too!

Adapted for the 2019 Oscar winning film "1917", "The Wayfaring Stranger" (also known as "Poor Wayfaring Stranger" or "I Am a Poor Wayfaring Stranger"), is a well-known American folk and gospel song likely originating in the early 19th century about a plaintive soul on the journey through life. As with most folk songs, many variations of the lyrics exist.

I'm late to this party, but it's a three-way tie between these songs for me:

One of my favourite songs of 2019 was Don't Call Me Up by Mabel. She is the daughter of 80s singer Neneh Cherry and the niece of 90s singer Eagle-Eye Cherry and she follows her musical elders with perfection. This song is so catchy …
