Hell yeah, it will. It's the year I predict being the most transformative on all spectrums whether it's music, films, fashion etc.

I'm going to quit my job and spend the year in Mongolia to get away from US election news.

I just hope that the next Great Recession won’t happen, or Social Media bubble won’t burst, and the next president for the US replacing Trump and the Next Prime Minister replacing Trudeau better be good, or I’d be disappointed.

I also hope that the 2020s would be inspired by the roaring 20s in pop culture, as there are already some 1920s/2010s hybrids like Electro Swing, and that Fashion would have like a dynamic time vibe, like 1920s fashion mixed with futurism, it would be awesome.

I hope the 2020s will be good and I get to enjoy a decade again.  :)

It's too early to tell but it seems like Trudeau will lose given the recent scandal.

I thought 2019 was gonna be fun because it's the last year of the decade and all, it still may. But 2020 will be special because it will be the first time the 2000s will actually be retro (20 years old) which is pretty cool but freaky at the same time. It will be the start of a new decade so who knows what will happen but I hope it will be a good year. I lost hope in music and culture a long time ago so it may change but I doubt it would be better. I don't think things will improve politics wise either it may get worse and more mass shootings may happen.

I saw a magazine in the store about the 1920s and it was titled "One Century Ago" on the front page. It was kind of odd magazines never did that before probably because before the 1920s there wasn't anything to really look back on.

But anyways we are going into the '20s now so let's move on from things that are 100 years old as they don't matter anymore.

That's what I'm looking forward to the most, since Tokyo is my favorite city in the world. I'm sure the opening ceremony will be phenomenal in representing Japan, the blend of ancient traditions and futuristic technology.

It's rather interesting how women's fashion evolved in the 1920s. It was mostly a backlash against the restristive fashions of the 1910s and the Victorian era as a whole. Dresses got shapeless rather than waisted by a tight belt, hemlines rose up to show up the lower half of legs for the first time, make up got dramatic rather than subdued like before, hats got tight and small rather than imposant and extravagant, and so on.

I guess taking some inspirations is never too bad, but reviving it entirely without the context of what came before sort of defeats the purpose.

I think we'll see some new trends in 2020.

Some of the parents who were born in the 1970s would probably become grandparents by the late 2020s.

I think so. We have Biden, the vaccine, and trying to back to normal but at the same time it's the post-COVID world which is not the same as it was pre-COVID.

Only one thing I've noticed about restaurants, many of them if not most to all are short-staffed as they struggle to bring back workers or hire new ones. Dining in a restaurant requires patience (which has worn thin for a lot of people after enduring 2020).

True, but also many workers specifically in the restaurant business are choosing not to go back, even though many are hiring. I don't really blame them since it's a tough job for low pay.
