A doctor's report said that "she probably was not raped". Would be interesting to know just how he came to that conclusion.

Political correctness at its finest!

From a legal standpoint the "pardoning" of three of the four accused is invalid anyway. One was never tried (he died before trial) and two others had their convictions overturned and died before retrial. Kinda hard  to "pardon" three people for whom there are no active convictions. But it makes for a nice show, I suppose.

Am not commenting on how those three guys died... that was obviously wrong... but the political correctness crowd seems to confuse their deaths with some sort of idea that the lady was never raped.

I don't get it. You're arguing that those people should have been imprisoned even though the evidence suggests they didn't rape her?

Circumstances in this case are different. This happened during a time when black men could be lynched as a result of white women accusing them of rape. Black men, especially in the south, basically had no right to a fair trial in cases like that.

What's creepy is he doesn't believe any of the #MeToo victims, but he believed this person even though there's evidence suggesting what she's saying didn't happen. Why believe one and not the other?

That's not even getting into the spectre of this occurring in the 1940s South and involves black defendents, who are presumed guilty until proven more guilty. He talks about imagined political correctness mobs but ignores the literal mobs in this story that looted and pillaged black neighbourhoods who had nothing to do with this crime, absolutely convinced that those men raped her even though evidence suggests they didn't.

Overall weird framing by LyricBoy that removes all nuance from this story to make some unrelated potshot at #MeToo.
