Between iPhone 4 and 6, both have recognizable form factors

In order of icon status:
1. iPhone 6: It's the best selling smartphone of all-time, and the best selling portable device of the 2010s. This was also my second phone ever lol.
2. iPhone 3G/3GS: They sold around 65 Million, foreshadowing the smartphone era in the 2010s. It also introduced the app store which revolutionized the world.
3. iPhone 4: Introduced the front camera. It was the first iPhone to break the 40 million mark.
4. iPhone X: Established a new standard for the smartphone.
*5. iPhone (original): I'd put it at #1 alongside the iPhone 6 in terms of icon status.

The most representative model of the brand, like the Nokia 3310 or the Volkswagen Beetle

Wow this is actually quite hard since all models are quite similar, just getting progressively more polished and redefined. This isn't like Nintendo consoles where each is radically different from the others, making it much easier to stick out even popularity-wise.
I would say maybe the iPhone 4 because it was probably the biggest design revamp in iPhone history before the iPhone 6 brought the traditional iPhone design back.
But it was so well recieved originally that they had to revive it with the iPhone SE at some point. Plus it was the last iPhone where Steve Jobs was behind it.

Iphone 4/4s. That was the phone that really started it all.
Iphone 7/8 would be the least lol. They're almost the same.
