I feel like someone is ready to get the strap for dude. Kanye West is outspoken to where it effects the climate.

Is staining his legacy another word for it? Kanye West is drowning him self in reverse intrigue.

The problem is the society that places so much weight on the opinion of a halfwit, just because he is a celebrity. It shouldn't come as a shock at all that Donald Trump, a B-tier reality TV star, is given the tob job in the country.  ::)

Ye, I don't know. I couldn't care less about Kanye West.

I'm not scared for him and personally just think he is trying to drum up attention for his album, but when I saw that he changed his name to "Ye" I immediately thought of this:

I think Kanye West supporting Trump is a curve ball as a jab to Obama calling him a jack ass. I know it had to sting Ye. Haha

Not really, him being bipolar is concerning but not everything he says is complete nonsense he's just a bad communcater. I don't agree with Kayne on a lot of stuff, but I also don't hold him to high-esteem because he's a celebrity.  Plenty of celebrities have done far worst than Kayne the media just wants you to hate Kayne for supporting Trump being that most of the media and the Black community are left-wing.

Who else seen the Kanye West visit to Trump? I read a few comments and I hear he made some points.

Also, I feel like I should change this to the Kanye West social thread. If enough of you approval.

Technically, he whipped her in the electoral college. The majority of voters didn't choose him. He won nonetheless, tho.

Not technically, in actuality. Hillary did not understand the rules of the game. Trump did, and that's why he is the POTUS and she is a bitter loser.

If Hillary really understood the rules, she would have kicked Bill to the curb when he got caught using his White House intern as his own personal humidor, and Hillary would have won the 2000 election In a landslide.  ;D

She understood. She just failed to close the gaps in certain states. She still won the majority vote. So the majority of American voters did not choose Trump. But no, a majority of voters don't win elections for US presidents. The second republican president that needed to win by the electoral college. I'd be worried.

You hit the nail on the head. The "dumbing down" of America has been going on for decades now. Since the seriousness of the 60s and 70s gave way to the shallowness of the 80s. And we have never recovered. Just look at an example of a talk show from the 70s such as the Dick Cavett Show (recently rebroadcast on the "Decades" network). Celebrities of all stripes engaged in intelligent, thoughtful and earnest conversation. A watcher of today's talk shows with air headed celebrities spouting inanities would scratch their head at the Cavett show and say "what are they talking about? It's so SERIOUS...".  Or Watch a news broadcast from the Walter Cronkite era. Grim faced, the news was delivered without gimmick or fanfare. It sure wasn't entertainment, but it was accurate and informative. None of the "infotainment" or fakery that passes for news today.

The "seriousness of the 60s and 70s" ?  ;D

I guess you missed out on:

Pretty much the entire disco era.
The "orgasmic era" of pop music, with hits such as "Love to Love You Baby" and "More, More, More" with all that moaning and groaning.
Sonny and Cher... need I say more.
The patriarch of the Democratic Party - Hubert Horatio Humphrey.
The Golden Age of Pornography, featuring stars known as household celebrities such as Marilyn Chambers (the "Ivory Snow" Girl), Tony (the Hook) Perez, and John "Johnny Wadd" Holmes.

Oh, believe me, people took this stuff seriously. Not everybody embraced disco, obviously. And people even "fought back", staging rallies and bonfires and burning disco albums to stomp out the scourge of disco. I' not so sure THAT was the smartest thing to do either, but during the monoculture, people felt they needed to take a stand. Nowadays if there is a style of something like disco that people don't like they just retreat into their cocoon-like echo chamber of Facebook friends and newsfeeds and the like where everyone feel just as they do.

And the golden age of pornography...people felt this was a step forward. Things were out in the open, people were LIBERATED. That was a big word then. They had thrown off the shackles of sexual repression, porn had gone mainstream. THis was taken very seriously back then. It was a very 70s way of thinking.

Then AIDS came along and ruined everything, killing Porn's biggest star well before his time.  :-\\

Yes, AIDS was part of the "perfect storm" of events that caused the cultural 80s in all it's conservativenesss, to begin with a bang, in 1981. The election of Ronald Reagan in November 1980, the assassination of John Lennon in December 1980, and the first publically revealed cases of AIDS in 1981, among other factors. It drove the "new found respectability", so to speak, of porn right back into the closet.

Kanye will go down in history as a 00s/10s artist the way Britney Spears was a 90s/00s pop star. Like Britney, he had his fifteen minutes of fame in one time period and his career went downhill in the time period following that one (when everyone got tired of his act). That’s what usually happens. The early 10s were good to Kanye, then he got married to Kim Kardashian and ultimately became America’s least favorite personality because the media would not once be quiet about them. Kanye might have one more major hit on the Billboard 100 in 2020, but then Gen Zers will move on completely to the new rappers of the 2010s and the up-and-comers of the 2020s.

Well now with the advent of drugs like AZT and retrovirals, AIDS is not quite the problem that it used to be, at least for porno stars who follow the appropriate protocols and preventive measures.

The internet brought about a second golden age of porno. There's more porn out there than ever before, albeit as I understand things apparently it is of poor quality with next to zero acting skills, as opposed to the original Golden Age, where credible plots and reasonable acting skills were de rigeur.

It was this day in 2002, that Kanye West was involved in a car crash after he fell asleep at the wheel while driving home from a recording studio in West Hollywood. No other cars were involved in the incident which left West with his jaw fractured in three places.

I feel like its the opposite. Kanye West most likely experimented with his thoughts about it pre-2009. Just Trump really urged it.

The Game has reportedly dissed Kanye West. It was generically done that does make it come off as bandwagon hate.
