2018 was 1000x better than 2008. Now let's see if 2019 will be better than 2009, that will be a tough one :o

It was a really long year for me. January 2018 feels like a long time ago.

At the beginning of the year, I was still with my ex, only 3 months into weightlifting, hadn't been promoted to my current position yet (with higher pay), and barely spoke French. I've improved on all those things this year and more, and had a lot of experiences in between. It's going to be a really memorable year! :D

January - I had my Appendix taken out so it was a scary beginning of the year for me.

February/March - I got a job with my boyfriend because he didn't trust me working at a place where he couldn't watch me (Trust issues).

April - Finally ended my Relationship with him and moved back with my parents.

May/November - 7 months later and still looking for a job. Hoping to have one by next month.

Let's say it was my fault for hurting him in the beginning of out relationship which caused him to have trust issues with me.

I meant console online gaming :P It was available before that but it was in 2007 where they became the default. Before that, it would be "extra" if a console game had online capabilities.

I was taking about console online gaming too. I played NFL 2K1 on Dreamcast online back in those days. It was a bit ahead of its time. Online gaming on the original XBox was pretty popular, Xbox live I think came out in 2002. Yeah of course it was bigger by 2007, but it was fairly popular before. To be honest yeah I do actually kinda agree with you about HDTV that is about when it did become solidly mainstream, though as I said I knew of it before that. I still think to say online gaming only became a thing in 2007 is a little late. I played Madden online a lot back in the XBOX/PS2 generation. The 360/PS3 gen did indeed have much more highly developed online capabilities I’ll give you.

I agree that HDTV was known before 2007 since I remember seeing on some channels that they were available in HD. As for online gaming though, I agree with Slowpoke. Yeah, it may have existed in 2001 and all (and I even played a little bit of it on the Dreamcast thanks to Phantasy Star Online), but it didn't become a phenomenon until the 7th generation. Plus, even if 6th gen consoles had online capabilities, it's not like most games had that feature. The majority were still offline and local play.
