Subject: Comeback Of The "Serial Killer"?
Written By: HeyJealousy on 08/15/18 at 10:39 pm

This Canadian author predicts a drastic rise in the serial-murder rate within' the next 15 to 25 years.
Will this end up being a part of Gen Z's legacy, or Gen Alpha's even? It's a fascinating read BTW.

Meh really not convinced, criminality rates were sky high in the mid-20th century so the rise of serial killers just came with it. Nowadays it's another story and I don't think "post-crisis trauma" can be enough to trigger killing sprees among people, especially since mental health issues are much treated than it was back then.
Sensationalism in its purest form
Also lol @ "the legacy of gen Z" how does this have anything to do with that?

I was a cereal killer a little while ago. Ate not one but TWO bowls of Shredded Wheat. :P
Oh wait this is about serial killers. It's been a while since the great serial killers such as Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, or Lee Boyd Malvo and his buddy.
We're overdue for another brand name serial killer.

Gen Z already has a very bad legacy:
SJW vs. Alt-right, the second wave of school shootings (2012+), tide pods, Logan Paul videos, Vine, Snapchat, the fact that they are sometimes known as "tech zombies", etc.

Still zero relevancy to how a hypothetical new wave of serial killers which would at best describe a very minor handful of cases be any contributing to the legacy of a whole generation.
Also I'm pretty sure the "SJW vs. Alt-Right" debacle involves mostly adults rather than teenagers (which Gen Z is mostly compromised of, regardless of when you put the cut-off). The rest, from tide pods to Logan Paul vids, are mostly just quick internet jabs, basically nothing of worth weighting on the supposedly legacy of a whole generation. Snapchat and derivates are hardly different to what is already commonly attibuted to Millenials.
