I think 2019 will be a fun year, movies like Dumbo, Godzilla and other awesome realistic cgi animations there will also be video game related movies including Pokemon, Mario and Sonic which are going to be released next year also. I'm honestly having hope for 2019 to be a fun year for the 2010s. I'm especially looking forward to Summer 2019. So far 2018 has been disappointing.

I feel like we're nearing a cultural change of some kind - I'm too young to remember any big cultural changes into a new decade (the 2020s, in this case,) but something about this year tells me that in 2019, we'll be getting some kind of cultural change.  I don't know what kind... my guess is in music?  Though I can't say for certain, because I don't think that there have been any signs of a big change in music, and we're more than halfway through 2018.

I don't really feel like we are on the edge of a big shift.  The cultural shift everyone was looking for happened from late 2016 into mid 2017.  Music and culture will continue to gradually evolve as it always has but it really doesn't seem like a 2008 is on the horizon.  And yes, I think 6ix9ine and XXXtentacion is the future of hip-hop and that isn't a bad thing.  I think XXX's death has made him more well-known and was the big push to bring that style of hip-hop into the mainstream.  Honestly I am pretty happy with music as it currently is.  I think what really needs a big shakeup is film.  Right now, it seems like it's all either reboots or superhero movies.  I prefer the raunchy comedies and the thrillers or the early '10s or even the dystopian fad of the mid '10s over this.

I get that. For me 99' and 09 came out of nowhere at the time, but in retrospect, there were definitely hints. It's definitely possible that we could end up like the 70s where hints of 80s culture were definitely littered here and there but 79 was still saturated in utter 70sness.
