Title says it all! I can't believe time has gone by that quick; Mid 2018 is literally just around the corner. Personally, this year only really staggered in one of February (got a horrible cold), other than that, 2018 has been killing it! :D So I want know this; what kind of vibe does (your) 2018 have based your experiences from Jan. - Apr. Time for 2018 culture in its prime :)

Actually, it already began a month ago if you use the quarters format. Right now, we're in the 2nd quarter of the year and we'll be towards the end as we hit the 4th quarter in a few months.

I had suspicions April started the Mid season.... Welp, can't cry over spilt milk. I'll just change my personal beliefs to May starting Mid 2018. It'll be like I never missed out on anything ;)

Yeah 2018 has been boring pop culturally and personally IMO hopefully mid 2018 is when pop culture gets exciting.

We're going to be exactly in the middle of the late 2010's on May 2nd, 2018. That's because technically, the late 2010's started on September 1st, 2016, and will end on December 31st, 2019, so that places May 2nd, 2018 in the exact middle.

Surprised considering this decade went quickly. It seems like 2010 was the current year just yesterday, but it's now well in the past. Oh, and this correct using the thirds format. If we used the halves system, then we have been closer to the 2020s for the past year. For the quarters method, we'll be closer to 2020 in October than the start of the current quarter (4th).

The late 2010's numerically started on September 1st, 2016, and ends on December 31st, 2019.

That's 1216 days apart. Half of 1216 is 608. If you added 608 days to September 1st, 2016, you'd get today, May 2nd, 2018. And if you added 608 days from today, you'd get December 31st, 2019.

So tomorrow, we'll be closer to the early 2020's than the mid-2010's.

How do you feel about this? And do you think late 2010's culture is in full swing by this point?

Not only are we incredibly close to the early 2020s, but actually we are closer to the early 2030s than the vast majority of the 2000s. Can you imagine a time when the 2010s are becoming as retro as the 90s are now :D?

Even the 2000s can be old school, since it was the last decade that had 4:3/SD TV shows, dumbphones, VHS, no online gaming in some games, etc. compared to the advanced world of widescreen HDTV shows, smartphones, Blu-Rays, online gaming, VR in the 2010s.

2018 went by ultra slow for me. The winter felt like it lasted 99 years. May/June went by quickly though.
