Film and TV star Erik Estrada, famous or playing the role of Paunch, the motorcycle cop on the 70's series CHiPS, has donated a dog to a local police department.

Apparently he is an actual reserve officer with that police department. 8)

Apparently he is an actual reserve officer with that police department. 8)
I heard that he actually did receive some real-life training a number of years back.
Nice of him to donate a dog.

Back in 2010, he was convicted of securities fraud.
So I don't think we'll see him joining Paunch in motorcycle patrol any time soon.

As I recall, the two actors actually didn't like each other much in real life. However, on the show, the characters were buddies.
