Another hit that kinda sound 2000s ish is N.e.r.d Lemon ft Rhanna. At frist glance it sounds very typical 2010s edm but it had that neptunes magic to it.

Really? Imo I don't think late 2010s music can't get anymore "un2000s-esque" even it tried on purpose.

The only aspect that is taken directly from the 2000s is the recent emo trend in hip hop, but it's mostly just lyrically and nothing really more lol.

You know what's even funnier? People who think that one sampled song with only 92,260 views is a whole representation of late 2010's music.

The fact that a song samples an older one doesn't make it immediately feel it like it's from that first song's period of release.
Drake's "Hotling Bling" samples a 70s soul song for instance. Yet no one would say HB really sounds like directly coming from the 70s.

I agree with the people saying that song doesn't particularly sound coming from the 2000s. Simply a bad example.

The pre-chorus actually sounded a bit like a late 2000s teenpop kind of sound haha. The rest of the song sounds 2010s to me though.
