Cool! My pick would be the Late 2010s but the early '10s were good too! Just one question... I know this was probably discussed in "Why isn't indietronica the sound of the 2010s?", but how did we go from this in 2010/11:

It's more obvious why things became that way once you try to remember what he had before the early 2010s (the late 2000s, and before that the mid-2000s). Pop culture was always slowly moving in a more hipstery and artsy direction.

Oh okay. Got it. But I do miss that "slick, futuristic, electronic" feel of the Early 2010s. 2018 NEEDS to bring back that culture ASAP.

I will always have a fondess for the mid-2010s as they are the years when I turned into an adult, and I had such good times and huge positive life changes. You can count on me to promote those years loudly and obnoxiously when the eventual 2010s nostalgia wave gonna hit in the 2030s... Except 2014, 2014 can go to hell.

I chose early and middle decade.

I chose the early 2010s but I definitely enjoyed music from the mid 10s more. The early 2010s were so bright and vivid, I'm glad I got to experience that type of atmosphere during my high school years.

Even though i have nostalgia for 2012-2013 and 2011 I chose the mid 2010s since 2014-16 were at least good and big parts in my life. (I was 10-12 during 2014-16 btw)

2013 was the last year that had a somewhat innocent vibe to it.

Of course, I chose the early 10s. I wish it wasn't the case though. I want every era I live through to be my favorite.  8) The late 2000s/early 10s is up there with the late 90s/early 2000s. I hope we get a repeat soon now that we're changing decades.

2014 - 2016 all the way. The early 2010s SUCKED! But 2013 was the only good year of the early 2010s and my favourite year of this decade, that year was amazing.

The mid 2010s didn't suck, that era was great. Neither did 2013. 2013 was arguably fairly transitional and unique even though it was an early '10s year.

I liked 2012 and the early '10s (2010-2013) had a lot of good music but those were my middle school years and my middle school years sucked. I don't want to relive middle school.

The mid '10s were good in terms of personal and school life but the music of that time was mostly "meh" to OK.

Personal-wise, the early 2010's. I was still in my childhood in the early 2010's, so it makes sense. The mid-2010's, with the exception of 2015, were the worst years of my life, especially 2016. Those were my middle school years.

If we're talking about pop culturally, I personally thought 2011 was the best year for music in the 2010's so far. So I guess I pick the early 2010's, but I like the 2010's in general for pop culture.

I don't get how Early 10's culture is trash,Mid 10's culture isn't even better even though I'd still chose Mid 10's culture over Late 10's culture any day.

I explained it before but I will again. It is trash because it was incredibly cheesy and the music sounded mostly the same. Autotune dance pop on the radio constantly was incredibly annoying and mainstream music was not as diverse. Fashion and the overall vibe was extremely classless, trashy, in your face, and tacky. Also way too colourful for me. The worst part is the whole cheesiness and upbeat vibe of the era wasn't even genuine. The recession was still lingering and everyone was still feeling the effects and were depressed. Somehow the culture tried to put on this act of artificial happiness and being fake upbeat even though content of songs and music and general culture was still very trashy. I remember movies really sucked like there were a lot of movies that got hype but then once you watch the movies that came out then a few years later you realize how bad they were. TV was bad, Glee was still on and popular, enough said. I just hated everything about it. Again this is just my opinion and perspective and I understand if you liked it. My personal life was the worst in the early 2010s so that also plays a role on why I hate it.

Now the mid 2010s, much better. The culture and music was a lot more raw and real. It wasn't amazing and there was still some bad parts, but it was a major improvement. The culture was overall really great and you had very catchy songs coming out. It did play on nostalgia but it worked pretty well. Technology was actually exciting as this was the most innovative time for smartphones. VR started coming out. TV and movies fairly solid. Personal life was good. Just an overall great era and I enjoyed it. What are the things you didn't like about it?

As for the late 2010s, it's in the middle between early and mid slightly closer to mid in terms of how I like it. Not terrible but not good either. The pop culture and music is absolute trash for the most part. The fads are alright though like there are things that will be memorable such as Pokemon GO and Fidget Spinners. Personal life is solid. TV is good, movies are bad. Technology is very boring and slow this era.

Now I want to know, how come so many people dislike the mid 2010s on the polls? 2009 music is also trash since half of it came out of 2009 and got popular in 2010.
The only thing I didn't like about it was when mumble rap was mostly on the rise in 2015. Anaconda was ew and that's why I think early 2010s culture was better because there were no trash mumble rappers during then like we have now.

Late 2015 was when Mumble Rap started to become a thing. 2014 and 2016 were good years,2015 was decent.
2015 was fairly innovative in the way of new genres getting mainstream momentum like Tropical House, Trap Rap, Moombathon and Alt-R&B. It was really exciting and fresh :D

I preferred 2014's music a lot more to 2016's music. I found 2016 music to be bad I didn't like the dancehall trend, songs about "work" (two very popular songs with work in the title lol) and other bad songs. However I agree 2015 was great musically, it was the second best year in terms of music this decade. 2013 was the first best year of music this decade and 2014 is third. 2014 had some pretty good songs come out imo.
