Subject: How was your summer in 2017?

Summer of 2017 was very good but boring but it gave me a great vibe even between Mid May to June.

Summer of 2017 was a really good summer. It was one of the best summers along with 2015 and 2013. It was when I found out about this website and met new people and made friends, and I went swimming to my friend's house and had a sleepover, watched a scary movie, lots of fun stuff. It also had very good music.

Yep the best part was that I got to see the eclipse even though it rained.
And I didn't go back to school until September 5th!

Subjectively? Possibly the best summer since 2013. And definitely a HUGE step up from the abomination that was 2016.
Hell, I finally feel like I can stand on my two feet without a helping hand or two.

It definitely did not go as planned, but there were a lot of great memories.
On Memorial Day, I saw Sumo Cyco and Birthday Massacre perform at El Corazon in Seattle, I got to meet Skye herself.
The next day, I went to Nevada for Biggest Little Fur Con, stayed there for about a week.
A couple of weeks later, I quit my job to start working for a new company.
Saw La Bouche live.
Went to Vancouver BC for a friend's birthday.
I crashed my car towards the end of June, and was able to get a new one through my insurance compensation.
Not long before I got my new car, my roommate and his boyfriend got in a fight, so I decided it was time to move out.
I made arrangements to move to Oregon and stay with a family friend while I could save up money and find my own place.
Saw Michelle Branch live in Portland.
Dated two guys who both broke my heart, one turned out to be obsessed with his ex, and the other was dating two other people behind my back.
I was unable to stay in Oregon, and moved back into my parents' house in California in mid-September.

It was the first time I had really interacted with people on the internet when I made accounts on several furry sites, and that was fun. I got two boyfriends from that though one left by the end because he kept bullying me over politics, but the other one stayed until just a month ago, but nowadays they're both good friends. I got to hike with my dad at a park near Austin and visited the city which was really cool. I found better Youtube channels to watch and got back into reading some, especially better quality books. No more video games 10+ hours a day as many days a week as possible, just every now and then when I want to. I'm also getting in shape, getting money, getting my own clothes, saving lots...

Now I'm in college, and it's good, I hated High School and my teen years, it's good to be over them.

It was a lot of fun. I didn't go really go anywhere far, but I did some camping. By brother adopted two little kittens and I would spend hours a day with them.

KITTENS??? <OWO>

Last summer was the last time I really saw the 3-7/8 feral cats outside my house then (I moved in September, and I don't think classes had started so it's still summer). I'd even get to pet them sometimes. <qwq> Now it's just one cat inside, except at my mom's house cuz she has 3.

My most uneventful summer since 2011 and 2014.

It was good. Took classes all summer but they were easy, went on a trip to BC, participated in the Canada 150 celebrations. Fun and relaxing summer.

Are you going to go back to your mom's (and with those cats) in the summer?

First half was great...best time of my life since the early '10s.  Second half sucked and then it went out with a bang (I had an excellent September).

The general consensus on here is that 2017 was the first time since 2010 where things felt normal again

Almost forgot about that. There was the giant duck that came into Toronto harbour haha. I remember it was raining that day, which sucked!

I also got back with my boyfriend that summer. It was also when I decided to grow my beard and I bought new clothes to completely change my style to be more hipster/dapper. Summer 2017 was my last twink summer. Now I'm going to get "gay death" next week when I turn 25 ;D

I would say gay death these days is probably 31.  When I was 28, I went to a gay bar one time by myself and I still had guys coming up to me just like I did back when I was 23-4.  If I do the same now nobody talks to me.  It really sucks, especially since I am just now getting comfortable enough to even go to gay bars.  I get out on the dance floor and realize I am not young anymore.

Damn. I was just repeating a joke my BF said, I didn't think it was actually real. :(

I haven't been to gay bars recently, but I heard from some online friends that getting asked out isn't really a thing anymore. I guess most people expect you to be online and they talk to you there.

Well my Summer of 2017 was honestly just pure amazing.

I started off working a lot.... I worked 30-40 hour weeks regularly and worked even 52 hours in one week in Early July! I got so much closer to all of my coworkers. My carpool was somebody who became a very good friend of mine. We talked endlessly on our rides to and from Kings Island about life and such. I went to my first actual soccer game, that was purty cool. I visited last year my workplace after work about 65 times! Literally my entire summer was spent at Kings Island :D. I had already started accepting myself by Late May but by June I decided I needed to start telling others. I came out in person to my carpool in a lengthy car ride home on June 19th, 2017. I actually cried, it was kind of funny. But an even more funny thing was the fact HE CAME OUT TO ME. That will be one for the ages. It lead to many conversations about ourselves..... it could have gone beyond friendship into certain other areas if I had made the move, but I was blind to the fact he was very attracted to me for the few days after I came out. But oh well, I think it was for the best. The only person I ended up telling was our friend, who also happens to work at KI and is gay. It lead to a rift between me and my carpool for a while but we both got over it. That friend I am speaking of? They are both secretly dating at the moment. :) Its honestly awesome to know we both helped each other...

I started becoming way more confident of myself and came out to essentially every coworker I had. Since none of them except for one were on my side of town, it made it much easier. :)

I helped out for the second year my campers at MDA Camp. I got a bit of a more difficult case this year. He is pretty wheelchair bound except for short distances. He was an awesome little guy even though he might have been a little hyper at times. :) Grew closer to everyone in my cabin and the campers as well. It was a truly awesome experience. :D

I ended up making many trips this year. In March I went to Carowinds in NC/SC, in July I did a lot of traveling. I went to Kentucky Kingdom on July 5th. Went to Vans Warped Tour on July 19th and had an absolute blast. I went to Holiday World and Kentucky Kingdom again on July 22nd and 23rd with my carpool and his friends. Then I went on a 3 day trip to Cedar Point with my brother Jacob. I paid for the hotel, had free tickets for him, and spent a lot of money, it felt weird I could spend 600 dollars and not bat an eye. After this I went to Kentucky Kingdom and Holiday World for a final time on August 6th, 2017. It was kind of the end of my Summer then, but I did not go back to school until I think August 20th. Hurricanes became my obesession again but it was all fine and dandy. This entire year I earned 4787 from working at KI and 650 from working at La Rosas.

God it was a great Summer, a Summer I will remember for a long time.... and one that helped me establish who I was as a person.

My summer in 2017 was nice for the most part. I got to visit a beach in California with my family and cousins. We went dolphin watching all together. We had a blast. I went to my best friends pool party in August to celebrate her birthday. Her other friends and I were all invited. We went for a swim in the refreshing water, played Marco Polo, ate delicious cake, got to know her and her family a bit better. It was definitely a blast. We stayed at her house for the night. We talked, gossiped, then we played some Fortnite before falling asleep. Overall, it was a really fun and eventful summer for me.

My summer was pretty good. Took a road trip to Georgia and the Carolinas (Asheville and Charleston). We also moved to a new house.

It was AWESOME :D. I spent almost all of it in Los Angeles ;D. The weather was super nice and sunny and the beaches were beautiful. There's so much to do there.

My summer of 2017 was great. My younger sister had her high school graduation and I had relatives come in to visit. We all went to Las Vegas and stayed at an Airbnb home!

Then I went on my first bus road trip with a Chinese tour group, which we always go for because of their good deals. We had the best bang for our buck. We had spent seven nights at seven different hotels, and went across a few states from California all the way to South Dakota.

By the summer's end, I officially ended my teenage years with a nice swim in La Jolla, California. It was lovely.
