Err...I like the idea but this is kind of like a modern Barbie Girl. I want to see more melodic electronic music though.
It would be great of Alan Walker and Illenium would get some push into the mainstream in US markets (they are already big in Europe). Their stuff has a similar sound to it but is more mature and serious. By similar, I mean electronic but more catchy and melodic than most of what dominated the mid '10s.

Well she best be thankful I don't care about her. Usually when I start caring about a big star it's the beginning of the end for them (Britney in 2004, Gaga in 2011) ;D

Britney had a nice comeback in 2008-09 with "Circus." It was a fun party album and it was very well timed. I would love to see that kind of album from either Gaga or Ke$ha before this era is completely gone.

That's true, Britney was still huge in the electropop era, but a far cry from her popularity during the Y2K era. I still think I'm cursed.

The more I listen to that song, the more it sounds like a novelty song from the early 2000s. It sounds like something that would have come out around 2003, around the time Hillary Duff was popular.

The more I think about it....Yes...Poppy is blowing up! She is definitely in incoming fad. "I'm Poppy" deserves to be #1 on Billboard! It has to be the best song I've ever heard, at least since Friday by Rebecca Black.
I wouldn't compare her to Gaga, Britney, etc though because she isn't that serious. She's more like Hannah Montana. She'll probably start going by her real name somewhere around 2022, after she's poses nude and does a provocative dance at the MTV awards.

When this girl talks she sounds like she is hypnotized. It is very creepy.
