This kind of gives me nostalgia.

This is just making me think of 4th grade, June 2010 was the month I finished 4th grade, that was my last time in public school, I really do kind of miss being in public school now, or at least my friends from it.

Words can't describe how much I miss that era.  June 2010 was probably around the peak of my life.  I was 24. Things starting going downhill after that, slow at first, but eventually leading to my current reality.

Isn't this the same as your Summer 2010 thread? Although I guess technically early June is still spring ;D

Everything about these photos looks so "normal"/homely to me. Everything is the way it should be. 2010 was the perfect mix of the 2000s casual vibe and the 2010s hipster/artsy vibe.

The month June is a Spring / Summer hybrid month. It didn't start until June 21st depending on where you live so most of June is technically still Spring.

2010 does have a lot of connections with the late 2000s however I would not put it in the same era as the late 2000s.

I can agree with that. The early 2010s in general are like that; the fashion is 2010s but you can tell we were not far removed from the 2000s yet.

When you watch shows like Victorious and I Carly you really get a sense for what that era was like. Very colorful, neon colored jeans etc.
It is weird because I would say 2010 felt more "2000s" than 2009 did. Not to get into decadeology but thats how I felt lol. 2010 felt like
the new era was here, full of optimism despite an economy in shambles.

Nickelodeon and CN were really good this Summer. despite a year before being in shambles.

Yep, the recession technically ended in 2010 (although of course it took many more years to recover and get back to pre-2007 unemployment rate). The recovery back then was actually looking really good after all the stimulus in 2009, until the EU took the path of austerity and exacerbated the Euro crisis.

It's so weird how this is barely 8 years ago and yet I can already see how these photos are dated.
2010 was a great year for me, I had 7 month relationship that year, so far my longest lasting one.

Ah, this takes me back. I think I was about 7 or 8? It was around this time when I began having my first crush on this girl. We used to talk every day at school. We sent sticky notes in class about games, school ( mostly sh*t talking our teachers) drawing hilarious pictures. My buddies would tease me and say "HE HAS COOTIES!" But I was able to brush it off very easily. Little me didn't care about jack sh*t then. What a year 2010 was.

That would be because 2010 was the last year of the late 2000s. 2010s influences were still coming in. Imagine 2011 to now without Instagram, The Walking Dead, Adventure Time, and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. We would still be living in the middle of the transition from the late ‘00s to the early 2010s.

That January was when I asked my now-wife to be my girlfriend. I finally found a group of friends that actually liked having me around, which was a nice plus. And the movies were just topnotch, from Inception to Toy Story 3. What a year. My only complaint really is that this was the year that I decided to hop on the law track, when I now regret that and wish I'd gone the writing track.

In June of 2010 I took a trip to Georgia and Miami. I remember Lady Gaga was still popular, with "Telephone" and "Alejandro" (the latter sounded different from her usual EDM style, it reminded me of an old Ace of Base song), also "OMG" by Usher was heard everywhere.

I know, from a calendar perspective, the 2010s started on January 1st, 2010 and will end on December 31st, 2009,
but 2010 was the last year of the 2000s culturally.

I mean look, if we are going to have this debate, my position is that from fall 2008 through summer 2010, the 2000s and 2010s actually were undergoing a great deal of overlap. So to me we were experiencing both at once.

That being said, I am so tired of this debate back and forth across multiple threads. It seems like this and how much the 2010s suck is all we talk about. And it's so mind-numbing after seeing this exact same discussion play out for the thirtieth time.

That girl with vest and green shirt is a look I associate more with the 2000s rather then 2010s. Just go to show how distant 2010 is now
