-Trump is going to have a health issue (heart attack? Stroke?).
-Dems are going to take back both the House & the Senate in Nov.
-The Stock Market will take a deep dive.
-There will be a few assassin attempts but the question is of whom? Trump? Kim Jong-un? Any number of Senators?
-There will be more mass shootings.
-There will be more indictments in the Mueller investigation.

I agree with these. On the pop culture side of things, I predict an artist that does some variety of future funk with vocals is going to take off and put the genre on the map. I just have this feeling like grunge and alternative got their poster boys in R.E.M. and Nirvana, and how electropop had Lady Gaga, future funk will be rapidly and unexpectedly thrust into the limelight by someone.

Latin Pop will be everywhere.
Latin Pop will define the 2018-19 and 2019-20 school years in a nutshell.

These are predictions and they can be anything. Just because you didn't like Google Glass (not everyone didn't like it, I like it I just couldn't afford it) doesn't mean you wouldn't like Hololens and MagicLeap, which are both great AR devices. AR is popular now and available, Hololens and MagicLeap are examples of it but there are more. And I predict it will get even bigger because it's already big today and everyone is interested in these new headsets companies are putting out. Apple is also rolling out an AR headset, although I think that is expected to come out in 2019. Google Glass 2 will probably be cheaper and better and expected to come out 2019 - 2020 as well.

That's why I made reference to modern-day Republicans, who would almost certainly have lambasted the Republicans of the Nixon era as godless commies. Hell, even Nixon himself created the Environmental Protection Agency, supported some form of public option for healthcare, and was not afraid of raising taxes. It's pretty disheartening to think of how far right they have gone since then. If he had been around today, Nixon would've gotten away with Watergate and everything else.

I think you've got it backwards — impeachment pushes fail when the president is already popular. It's why Reagan was able to bounce off Iran Contra and avoid repercussions, and Clinton's approvals remained high all throughout his trial. They were both already popular, and so the public didn't really care about their scandals.

I agree with all of these (except the Canadian politics ones because I don't know enough about Canadian politics to discuss it.)  The most interesting one is that one of the major social media platforms will go into decline.  I really can't see twitter going anywhere though.  It's popular and it doesn't really have a replacement.  Snapchat on the other hand will likely decline as it's primary user base gets older.

At the moment it looks like a simple market correction.

By decline I meant it will have a declining active user base, I don't think any of them will actually go away this year. Twitter has had almost zero net new active users since  2015 or so, and I think it's actually been in decline since then since I bet most the "new active users" are bots. We could see Twitter's numbers finally declining this year.
