Subject: Explicitly contemporary and political pop culture

In his review of The Post, Indiewire critic David Ehrlich points out the timing and speed with which this film, about the importance of a free press fighting back against political machinations, was put together. He argues that it's an early and prime example of art made in direct response to Donald Trump's presidency.
Obviously artists will create work that reflects the moment, and our current political environment is ripe for comment. Can you think of any other examples of pop culture which seem to be squarely in the civic zeitgeist? And as we move forward into the coming years, how much more do you think we'll see?

For an early entry, check out A Tribe Called Quest's recent album. I forget what it's called.
