Subject: I think the fashion is changing...at least kid's fashion

Written By: LooseBolt on 11/27/17 at 7:04 pm

I just saw a Five Below commercial with kids dressed like they could've been time warped from 2007. There were Bieber cuts and beanies, the jeans looked all 2000s-y. I'm sorry if my descriptive powers are failing me, but I'm not well-versed in clothing terms, but it was pretty unmistakable: these kids were wearing stuff I saw my classmates wearing during the peak 2000s.

Discuss, especially if you've also seen this.

Maybe they ran out of ideas haha.

I noticed ripped jeans are making a comeback. They're way sluttier compared to the late 2000s version though, usually tearing at the thighs rather than the knees/calves. I've been thinking of getting a pair.  :-X

I also bought a lot of v-neck sweaters in the summer and they're totally in right now. Believe me!

For real? Are these listed on American Eagle or something? Seeing is believing.

American Eagle? You really are stuck in 2007 :P

Just kidding. :D

This is what I found in Levi's women's jeans section : http://www.levi.com/US/en_US/category/women/clothing/itemtype/jeans?ab=wdp_product_category_shop_jeans_103117
Their men's section doesn't have as many ripped jeans. I've found more at Jean Machine: http://jeanmachine.com/products/jeans/mens

A lot of ripped jeans there. They're not as revealing as the ones I've seen on the streets though.  :-[

I came across this interesting article about how 'athleisure' wear like yoga pants and sweatpants are declining in sales and denim is rising. I wonder what this will mean going forward. https://www.businessoffashion.com/articles/intelligence/as-athleisure-cools-denim-heats-up
