Anyways, these pics are EXACTLY how I remember 2010 and especially the Summer of 2010.

The Summer of 2010 was the last summer of my childhood. I graduated from elementary school (5th grade) in June and was starting middle school (6th grade) in September.

LOL just kidding. I went to an amusement park on Halloween 2010. Good times. If you zoom in by clicking on the photo though, you can actually see some street fashion in the background.

Also I attached some photos. They're from when my gangsta cousins from Niagara came to Toronto, and I was the only one with a smartphone/camera. They were camera shy, perfect for this thread haha. Also the pictures are from October 10, 2010 or 10/10/10 or Taiwanese Independence Day  8)

I still have all my clothes from 2010. I was 17, graduated from high school and had a full time job so naturally I bought tons of clothes then and still have them all. If anyone is super nostalgic for 2010 and wants pictures of them I can probably take it tomorrow.

2000s TV shows like Law and Order were still on the air in the spring of 2010. I’m sorry, but the year 2010 felt nothing like a 2010s year culturally until the very last minutes on December 31st of that year.

It's looking quite different. Which is a little bit of a shock to me. The looser fitting trousers of the 2000's I always notice were still in the early 2010's.

2010 was the last year of the 2000s. It's a fact. The very last things that define the early 2010s came out of the year 2010 (i.e.- Adventure Time, The Walking Dead, and the iPad).

That's understandable, every year seems awesome when you're young. In 2010 I was the same age as you are now. So I viewed 2010 how you view 2017 now but I was a little depressed that year so it wasn't very great in my personal life. Much better than 2011 and 2012 though, especially 2012 where I went through a horrible depressive period.

And the downfall began - the music started to be trashy pop stuff, but it was still tolerable to me. At least that's how I feel now about it. Neither the music then and from 2013 were tolerable, but music from 2013 onwards was written by people who care too much about the lyrics and too little about how music expresses emotion as well.

What a good year 2010 was. I enjoyed the music and movies from that year :)

I'm noticing lots of natural looking hairstyles and a lack of overly bright colors and skinny jeans.

Damn it! Now the 2010s are already becoming dated :o, i think 2010 is slowly starting to become dated judging by these photos, however nowhere on the level of the 2006/7 and before photos.

I feel as if people tend to underestimate how dated 2010 is. While I do agree that it doesn’t feel like a completely different world, there are many aspects of 2010 that would seem dated from a 2017 perspective.
Many people were still using digital cameras back then, slider phones were still very popular, the music and fashion were noticeably different, and was more like 2008 than 2012. The most popular social media apps like Instagram didn’t exist until late that year, so it wasn’t even out for most of 2010.

It has to do with one's age. Of course you find 2010 dated. I found 2003 dated in 2010 as well. I'm 22 now so I don't find 2010 very dated compared to today. Slight differences but overall fairly similar to me.

The images definitely do have an '00s look to them.  I agree that people underestimate how dated 2010 is.  I don't think it's a completely different world though...but it will be soon.  I think 2017 compared to 2010 is similar to 2007 compared to 2000.  Slim95 probably won't agree with me there but that's because of his age.  I personally feel that the '90s were more changeful than many older people do and I admit that my age at the time contributed to it.

It is prob because it took us this long to be removed from the early 2010s to see it, also the fact that 2016/2017 were very changeful years.

Yeah 2010 feels like the last year that feels pretty dated. All of my junior high school years feel like quite a while ago now. Given that is is almost 8 years old, this is to be expected. There are some things from 2010 that do feel dated now.
