Subject: Beyonce confirms role in Lion King remake

US singer Beyonce is to take a lead role in the remake of Disney's The Lion King. She will voice the role of lioness Nala, next to lead character Simba, played by Donald Glover. Beyonce used Facebook to confirm her long-rumoured involvement in the project. Her other co-stars include Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar and Seth Rogan as Pumba the warthog. James Earl Jones will play Mufasa, as he did in the 1994 original.

They're remaking the Lion King?! :o When will Hollywood ever get the memento that remaking classic movies isn't always a good idea!

Its gonna be a live version sorta like The Jungle Book and Beauty And The Beast. Oh they're also working on a live version of Aladdin as we speak.

To be directed by Jon Favreau, who made live action "The Jungle Book" released last year.

Yeah, Maleficent wasn't very good. I also watched Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast. I really enjoyed Jungle Book! :D

My viewing of "The Jungle Book" was impaired for two reasons, I had to constantly check on other things in the house, and a mediocre television.

Honestly I don't know where Hollywood will go from here they have no creative perspective no more they have been remaking classic movies all damn decade and don't forget all these super hero films 8-P

There is creative perspective here, these remakes are been remade a live action from the original being animated.

no man not creative remaking something to live action. It is the same and I'm not really buying in to live action hype.How about more original ideas but no remakes I guess are the way to go and I'm pretty sure it will be no where near the original.

It is still being creative, new screenplay, different direction, etc.

I think Hollywood has to come up with something that fits the demographic.
