Subject: 2018 & 2019 will be huge years for films.

Written By: Bab2781 on 09/25/17 at 2:57 pm

Well here we are 3 and a half months left in 2017.  And to be honest it hasn't been that great of a year for films. We just witness the worst summer in over 10 years. Now fast forward to 2018-2019. And I feel like with these years they could easily set more records.

2018:
The Incredibles 2
Deadpool 2
Avengers: Infinity War
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Ant-Man And The Wasp
Wreck-It Ralph 2
X-Men: Dark Phoenix
Black Panther
Mission: Impossible 6
Han Solo Film
New Mutants
Aquaman
Venom
Bumblebee
Fantastic Beast Sequel
Ready Player One
Pacific Rim: Uprising
Maze Runner: The Death Cure
Rampage
Fifty Shades Freed....And Many More

2019:
Star Wars: Episode 9
Toy Story 4
Wonder Woman 2
Avengers Film
Fast & Furious 9
Bond 25
Spider-Man: Homecoming Sequel
Frozen 2
Transformers 6
Captain Marvel
How To Train Your Dragon 3
The Lion King
Godzilla: King Of The Monsters
The Secret Life Of Pets Sequel
John Wick: Chapter 3
Minecraft
Top Gun: Maverick
Shazam!
IT: Chapter 2
Aladdin....And Many More

I'm seeing way too many sequels and reboots.  That's the problem with Hollywood this decade, especially the past couple of years.  It seems like they've run out of original ideas and don't want to take any risks so they are exploiting nostalgia to ridiculous levels.  If we are to have another golden age of cineme, Hollywood will have to ditch the sequels and '90s reboots and start taking risks again.

It's become overload and Hollywood needs to come up with something other than sequels.

Pretty much no 2010s equivalent of Avatar.

Exactly, running out of original ideas, I cannot image Oscar quality movies?

Sometime in the future, there is set to be a series of Avatar films, of which I am not looking forward to, for I fell asleep during the first one, and cannot see why.
