The song sounds a little bit forced but.... different, somewhat.

It's pretty good.... vastly better than the majority of Top 40 radio. It's supposed to be a Top 10 single and yet it hardly gets any airplay where I live.

They just played it an hour ago. Also, "Satisfaction" by Los 5 is making the rounds on my local Top 40 station. Does it stand out from the rest of the 2014-2016 playlist? Or can you just lump it in with the rest?

Their newest songs haven't done so well in the UK, though "Thunder" has gradually climbed up into the 20s.

It's not different. Imagine Dragons have been popular for a very long time. Actually they beat a record for having the longest run on the Bilboard Hot 100 for their song "Radioactive" which was on the charts for over a year and ran from 2012 - 2014.

But they weren't highly successful in the 2014-2016 era....

Yes they were. Their song "Demons" was very popular in 2014. They were quite relevant for some time now.

They also had "Sucker for Pain" on the Suicide Squad soundtrack, plus a respectable performance for the "Days" knock-off "I Bet My Life." They're a pretty funny band in my opinion, though I don't know why.
