(It's too soon to come up with a summary of 2017 but we're slowly getting there)

2010 - Pretty awesome
2011 - Okay, but seemed mediocre at the end of the year
2012 - Worst year in my life. Going through it was painful.
2013 - Horrible at the first half, mediocre at the second half
2014 - So lame, that I just wanted to be nostalgic every day
2015 - Same with 2014.
2016 - Three words. Edgy. as. hell.
2017 (so far) - Pretty good, since I got into using my computer better. Especially with trying out virtual machines.

It would've been the same culturally, but my personal life was more important in this decade.

2010 - the start of the decade
2011 - the start of bad things, but otherwise decent
2012 - last year for decent music and a decent aesthetic
2013 - RIP emo and rock music popularity and the 2000s aesthetic
2014 - start of mega-terrorism
2015 - nothing new here; maybe the start of an online civil war or something
2016 - the Grim Reaper's field day

2010- Avatar's domination
2011- Pitbull's peak
2012- Lots of violence this year for some reason. Lots of Indie-like music popular this year.
2013- Disco comeback!
2014- Same old same old.
2015- The start of a bit of a backlash against Far Left extremism.
2016- Political insanity!

2011 - Dubstep, Libya, and the Arab Spring
2012 - Mitt Romney and Gangnam Style
2013 - Blurred Lines and Breaking Bad
2014 - Michael Brown, Iggy Azalea, and political correctness
2015 - Back to the Future, Netflix, and new Taylor Swift
2016 - Worst year for modern culture and events
2017 - Political corruption and Ed Sheeran

2010 - last year of rock. Electropop. Year of Lady Gaga. Generally happy
2011 - Upbeat/neon happy optimism
2012 - Mixed Bag. bright and dark at the same time
2013 - Controversy (Blurred Lines and Miley Cyrus)
2014 - Dark and downbeat
2015 - Dull and mediocre

2012 - now: Scary. The shootings. And so much since then. Now terror attacks in England.
