Subject: Favorite soda

My favorite soda is probably either Dr. Pepper, or Seagram's (I really do not have a clue).
Just wondering what people think about sodas in this poll.

I at times use all 3 terms (pop, soda, soft drink), though being from Ohio, pop is probably the preferred term. In the south they call everything coke I think, now that's kinda weird. :D

Here in the Northeast (except Western New York & Western Pennsylvania), we call soft drinks.....soda (or if we want to be specific...the actual brand name).

My teeth are pretty screwed up (I have quite a few cavities) and I do drink a lot less soda than I used to, but I still drink like a lot of sparking water and seltzer. I also drink wine which is not really great for the teeth either.

And this isn't technically a soda because it isn't carbonated, but it is my favourite sugary drink. It's too bad they don't have this in Canada. Only lemon and and some other inferior flavours are available..

Honestly juice is with added stuff isn't even real juice.. .So they're pretty similar and can be considered the same thing. Nothing is different except for the fact it has some juice in it. Same as iced tea, has some tea in it. It's still made up of primarily sugar and chemicals, like soda.

No it really isn't that plain and simple. Let's think of it this way, 90% of the ingredients are the same as soda. For example, Water, HFCS, Citric Acid, Natural/Artifical Flavours, and other stuff. Only thing different is the juice or tea extract that is added. It really is fine to call these sodas in my opinion.

Nope. They are not the same thing....END OF STORY.

TBH the same could easily be said about Kool-Aid, Sunny Delight, or Hawaiian Punch, doesn't mean those are sodas either. There's carbonated drinks out there that are natural.

Vanilla Coke was quite popular in the early 2000s. Then they discontinued making it but it has made a comeback in many countries. In fact, for the summer season it is back and they started stocking fridges with them.

My real favorite soda.
I lied about Sprite Remix being my favorite, although it's in my top 10.

Cider is not a soda, it is a drink made from from the fermented juice of apples and is still, not like soda which is fizzy.

So wait, first you say those other drinks aren't sodas because they're not fizzy yet you say a sparkling drink isn't a soda either? What do you define as a soda then? Coca Cola and Iced Tea are closer to the soda category than sparkling water and coca cola.

Yeah they can be considered the same thing. And someone can indeed call them both sodas. They are not that different.

That's like saying since paper is made up of atoms and humans are made up of atoms.....humans and paper are the same thing. Juice and soda are NOT the same thing.
They're both drinks.

It is the yeast that make it sparkling not infusing water with carbon dioxide to make carbonated water.

Okay whatever. I'm just saying they are not that different from sodas because they share a lot of the same ingredients, so I personally don't mind if people call it sodas and I won't correct them for it, you can if you want.
