Harry Styles's debut single Sign of the Times has broken Ed Sheeran's 13-week spell at the top of the charts. The One Direction star has achieved his first number one as a solo artist with this release - the first from his self-titled debut album. His song sold 3,000 copies more than Sheeran's, with just under 40,000 downloads and 3.5 million streams, the Official Charts Company said. Sheeran's Shape of You fell to number two, while his Galway Girl is at three.

I do miss the days when the UK singles chart was a goldmine of variety that revolved heavily every month. It's been a sickening site seeing every song from Ed Sheeran's ÷ album within the top 20, so it's nice to see somewhat of a change again. To his credit, Sheeran is one of the less insipid musicians popular right now, but the fact that ÷ has dominated the charts so heavily this year really goes to show how dry and washed out the music industry has become in recent times, even in a country that has almost consistently outmatched the United States in the quality of its hit singles.

I think she looks her age, it's just that her fur coat and exposed belly create the illusion of maturity in the photo.

It was black and white, and from the hair, I thought it was a picture from the early 1970s. :-X

Long, straight or straight-ish hair was popular in the early '70s, as was dark eye shadow. That jewellery looks new-agey too. I'm not sure if fur coats were popular back then, though. A quick Google search says that the 1960s were their heyday.

I wish I liked this song. It's like the songs are so different from each other but on the same levels of meh. While the song isn't exactly the worse, I'm really hating how people are making Bowie comparisons. Like, chill on that.
