The makers of the James Bond films want Daniel Craig to remain in the 007 role, one of their executive producers says.
Callum McDougall, who has worked on nine Bonds, said Craig was "absolutely the first choice" of series producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson.
"I know they're hoping for him to come back," McDougall told Radio 4's Today programme on Friday.
Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, where many of the Bond films were shot, is celebrating its 80th birthday.

I hope Daniel plays one more Bond film. I've grown accustomed to his face. :-X

Maybe a year ago I read where the film producers were considering changing things up with an African American Bond.

Daniel Craig says he is coming back as James Bond. The actor was asked whether he will play the secret agent again during his appearance on US chat show The Late Show. "Yes," Daniel told host Stephen Colbert, before standing up to shake his hand. The actor, who has played 007 in the past four Bond films, has until now refused to say whether he will do it again.

On another report heard on the radio news, he confirmed it will be his last film as James Bond.

Actor Daniel Craig is to undergo "minor ankle surgery" following an accident on the set of the latest James Bond film. It was reported last week that Craig, 51, slipped and hurt himself while filming an action sequence on location in Jamaica. "Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks post-surgery," said producers. The as-yet-untitled movie remains on track for the same release date in April 2020. Still known by the working title Bond 25, the film is Craig's fifth outing as Britain's most famous fictional secret agent and is being directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga.
