Subject: OJ Simpson 30 for 30 documentary: Made in America
Written By: Eazy-EMAN1995 on 07/10/16 at 1:14 am
Well, have you guys checked this doc out? For those who were fans of OJ growing up, for those who were intrigued by the trail in the mid 90s. This is defiantly as MUST SEE! This is probably my fav documentary of the year. Just as good as any movie out this year as well. :o I'm just wondering what you guys think if y'all already saw it or just sneaked a peek. Because this was POWERFUL.

I did watch it. It was a little too long but it was good
Interestingly enough I watched it online. I clicked on what I thought was part one but it was part 5... The trial and after. Initially I thought the doc was starting with the trial and working backwards....when I realized I was wrong I decided to finish part 5 and then watch the rest.
I always thought OJ was guilty. Not once did I feel a need to give him the benefit of the doubt. I was angry when the verdict was returned.
Watching parts 1-4 I saw things I don't know if I would've picked up on had I not seen part 5 1st
There was something about OJs attitude and sense of entitlement and self preservation. He seemed to possess it as a kid.
That story about how he and some other kids were caught in a bathroom playing craps or smoking or something and how OJ saved himself and left his friends there to take the punishment.
That part about OJ stealing his best friends girl and then flaunting it in his face because the 3 of them would often hang out. The fact that he married this woman and then cheated on her with many women (including Nicole). The fact that he cheated on Nicole then got mad when she supposedly cheated on him with Marcus Allen.
The robbery in Vegas tho. Man that was some funny shyt. It was messed up I wanted to put the Benny hill music to them walking through the hotel trying to find the room.

Wow it's a good thing you were not on the jury. He could have been sent to jail for a crime he did not commit! :o

just because he wasn't convicted doesn't mean he wasn't actually guilty....
and what kind of an ass writes book about how he would have killed the mother of (some of) his kids whether he did it or not?

Well the title was "IF I did it", as I recall. It was a hypothetical work.
I just hope he gets out of jail before he's too old to do some more Hertz commercials.

Hertz would never hire him back so might as well bust out YouTube and rewatch the old ones.
Also if he didn't do (but he did) it was disrespectful to attempt to capitalize on the brutal murder of the mother of his children. It was like spitting on her cold dead body then smearing the kids' face in it.
It's the act of a megalomaniac.

I watched all five parts and thought that it was an incredible documentary. Perhaps the best I've seen on ESPN's entire "30 for 30" series, which is really saying something considering how many great pieces they've put together over the years. I've been an O.J. trial junkie ever since I was a kid, so there wasn't necessarily any new information here for me, but it was still a riveting watch.
Seeing it, though, did made me think about this. The O.J. chase is one of those all-time TV moments, like the JFK assassination of the 1990's. I know some posters here weren't even alive yet, but who remembers where they were and what they were doing on June 17, 1994?
I was still three weeks shy of my 7th birthday at the time, but I actually do remember watching the chase. It was a Friday night and I was staying over at my grandparents house for the weekend when it happened. As a little kid, I didn't have the slightest clue who O.J. Simpson was, obviously, but I remember watching it with my grandfather and just thinking that it was so weird that the cops were chasing this guy down the freeway at such a slow rate of speed. I also remember my grandfather predicting that O.J. was probably going to shoot himself in the head once he got back to Rockingham, so I kept watching out of curiosity, even though it was like 11 o'clock and well past my bedtime. ;D

I can still remember my office staff rejoicing when the jury found O. J. innocent of the charges. We were all intently listening to the radio as the verdict was being read.

Whatever OJ has, he definitely is into himself. I believe he did kill her.
I don't know the evidence, or proof. But I wouldn't be surprised if he did kill his ex-wife.

He might need to do commercials for SlimFast.
