News wires are reporting that Gerard Woodley, long a suspect in the murder of legendary rapper Big L in 1999, was found shot to death in New York City.

Reports further say that he was gunned down at the same spot that L was.
Woodley has a long history of violent crimes and was released from prison in September 2015 after serving four years on a weapons charge unrelated to the rapper's death, officials said.
"He did a lot of bad things and someone decided it was time to go," the source added. :-X

Heh. I guess that's somehow surprising for somebody to avenge a rapper.

Same with most rappers, but they didn't avenge their leaders' death.

They did a study of musicians of all types a year or so ago, and apparently the leading cause of death amongst rappers and hip hop artists is murder. :-\\
