We know rock isn't completely dead, so post some of your favourite rock songs from 2016!

2 songs from the grunge band Violent Soho. First song is actually from late 2015 but was the lead single for their WACO album released in March 2016.

I'm not sure about this thread. Ever since the start of the 2010s, rock (along with every sub-genre in it) has been in an all-time low. There wasn't any albums released by good rock bands, thanks to terribly overrated pop and hip-hop bands that are ruining their scene.

That's the reason why I created this thread, to appreciate what little rock is left out there. It doesn't even have to be mainstream rock, if you listen to more than just top 40 you will find some wonderful rock gems out there.
I'm an Australian and I mainly listen to Triple J, which plays a substantial amount of heavy metal.

Honestly, the only rock that I listened into this decade are metal musicians on YouTube, who make metal covers based on video game soundtracks. Here's some metal covers that I found really good.

They sound like they're trying to revive the rock genre, but not that much. It seems kinda generic, now that I think about them. Sorry. :(

That's good music! It reminds me somewhat of that Post-Punk/Indie type stuff I loved back in the early-to-mid '00s.
It's too bad that type of music has basically zero mainstream presence anymore.

Yeah, I do wish that rock music came back in the mainstream.

Awesome stuff guys! :D Rock may not be as popular anymore, but I never fell out of love with the genre. 2010s rock is, heck, any decade's rock will always be amazing to me.

I couldn't watch this live version since the video isn't available in my country, but I listened to the regular version and it's really good! I like it.

This is quite easily my favourite 2016 rock song; "Bang Bang" by Green Day. In all honesty, "Bang Bang" is one of the few songs to have been released in the 2010s that I actually like.

I'm starting to like these two songs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkjvv4edFEQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMAWvSpnqdE
The album in which these two songs were off came as a complete surprise. Birds of Tokyo were a pop-rock band and their earlier singles were really successful on the ARIA Top-40 charts. Their 2013 single "Lanterns" peaked at #3 at one point. However, with their latest album, the band risked it all and decided to go for more of an alternative, hard rock sound. They even acknowledged in an interview in February last year that the "radio isn't going to play it". Unfortunately, they were right. While the album did debut at #3 on the album charts, none of the singles appeared in the Top 100 ARIA chart and they weren't played on most radio stations. Despite this, the album did receive positive reviews by critics.
