Subject: UK and Ireland cinrema box office

Mountaineering drama Everest was the big draw at UK and Ireland cinemas this weekend, topping the chart with an opening tally of £3.16m.

That total - which includes takings from previews held the previous weekend - was enough to consign the previous week's top film, Kray twins biopic Legend, to second place.

All in all it was a good weekend for Working Title, the British company behind both releases.
