Subject: Robert De Niro to direct crime musical of A Bronx Tale

Robert De Niro is to direct a musical version of his 1993 film A Bronx Tale in New Jersey next year.
Set in the 1960s, A Bronx Tale tells of a youth torn between a career in organised crime and the honest life of his bus driver dad.
The show, which will have its premiere at the Paper Mill Playhouse on 4 February, will be co-directed by Jerry Zaks and feature music by multiple Oscar-winner Alan Menken.
A Bronx Tale started out on stage as a one-man show by Chazz Palminteri, who went on to appear opposite De Niro in the latter's film adaptation.

Oh man, they've just got to have a musical number about the bar scene where all the mob guys kick the sh!t out of the bikers.
Maybe they'll have a song where Sonny and all his goons dance over the broken bodies of the bikers and their wrecked Harley's while they sing over and over, "Now you's can't leave! Now you's can't leave!" :D
