Subject: Israeli jailed over Madonna hack

An Israeli man arrested in January on suspicion of hacking into the computers of pop stars including Madonna and selling their unreleased songs online has been jailed for 14 months in Tel Aviv.

Adi Lederman was also fined 15,000 shekels (£2,572) after confessing under a plea bargain to computer trespassing and infringement of privacy and property rights.

The 39-year-old had previously made a brief appearance on A Star is Born, Israel's version of American Idol, before being voted off the programme.

Madonna, pictured above in May, rush-released new songs last year after demos and unfinished mixes from her latest album Rebel Heart were made available online.
