Subject: Show suspended over Ben Affleck slavery row

US broadcaster PBS has suspended the next series of Finding Your Roots over a row involving a slave-owning ancestor of actor Ben Affleck.
The show, in the same vein of the BBC programme Who Do You Think You Are?, researches the family trees of famous people.
But, following the hack of Sony emails earlier this year, it was revealed Affleck successfully lobbied the programme makers to remove a section in which it was revealed one of his ancestors was a slave owner, because he was "embarrassed".
Now PBS is demanding a fact-checker and independent genealogist before the cameras can start rolling again.
