I think you want it to come back, but big hair came back in the 2000s. The mullet made a comeback in 2003.

Urg, no.  8-P I'd prefer black people wear cornrows and Afros rather than jheri curls. '70s and '90s ftw!

Besides, beginning it and maintaining it is expensive. It damages your hair badly due to the chemicals and it's very high maintenance. When your grows out, you're going to constantly have to keep touching it up if you want it to actually look believable.

I don't want '80s hair to come back again. They already did in the 2000s, why do they have to come back in the 2010s?

I wonder how jerry curl works on Caucasian hair?  My hair is pretty thick and bushy, and when it's humid it get curly as all get out.

I'm thinking of giving it a try if I can find the stuff.

If you really want to get the Jheri Curl, you're going to have to go to a salon; they'll reduce the hair damage as little as possible.

I'm growing my hair out for the first time. Long all around. But when the rest is shoulder length I might trim the bangs to have a mullet. We'll see.

Be forewarned, the odor of the chemicals that curl the hair is a scent that will stay with me the rest of my life because I spent the first 17 years of my life inhaling it because that's how my mother wore her hair until about 2003. Thank God, when given the choice between a curl and a perm, I chose the perm. LOL. (straightening perm)
I just remember my mom went to a different person for a curl when I was about 7 or so, and it was a disaster. She kept her hair, but it burned the sheesh out her scalp and for two weeks after, the skin n her scalp flaked off like fish scales. They were huge and she literally had to take time off from work because of it.
I just rambled. LOL.

Dollar General and Wally-Mart both has sections for black hair care.  Sometimes I buy this stuff called Cholesterol because it's thick and helps to detangle my hair.

yeah, but it's so thick that it's kinda hard to rinse out of your hair, so I have to really be careful making sure it's all rinsed out.
