What's your favourite year of the 2010s? Mine is 2013. I would say 2013 is actually my favourite year in my life. And while we're at it, what year in the 2010's do you dislike the most? I'd have to say 2012.

2010, because that's the closest year to my becoming of age decade - the 00s.

I'm going to say 2012 honestly. Lots of good memories from that year, and it feels longer ago than it is for that reason.

2011, lots of good memories from that time.
2010 was a decent year too. 2012 felt like a boring year, even with the election going on. 2013 was when things began to get better for me, and so far this year has been a blast.

2010 and 2012 were good for me. 2011 and 2013 feel not special and this year feels like the worst I ever experienced so far.

Oh man...2011 or 2012, this is such a hard question.  I suppose I'd go with 2012.  The spring and summer of 2012 was probably the happiest, most content period of my life.  I had never been as happy before, nor been as happy since.  I'm not unhappy in 2014, but I can't help but wonder if I ever will surpass 2012.

Being The Early 90s Guy, I'll never love any year after 1992 the way I do '90-'92. I thought late '10 was the best part of the decade thus far. As 2010 was slowly morphing into 2011, some of the most memorable pop culture of the decade was churned out. Think about it, the fall of 2010 gave us "Instagram, Keep Calm and Carry On, Adventure Time, Lego Minifigures in toy stores, The Walking Dead, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and YOLO frozen yogurt". It was the most innovative part of the 2010s decade. 2011 will always be the true start of the 2010s decade, so 2010 was in the middle of that period starting in 2008 and the beginning of the 10s.

The only year that competes with late 2010 is 2013. '13 starts off as one large continuation to 2012. The last episodes to the first and best season of Scandal were shown. America was still ranting and raving about "The Hobbit". They were doing the Gangham style dance to "Call Me Maybe" on the dance floor. Mothers everywhere were going, "How cute is that Honey Boo Boo"?  Sadly, George Zimmerman got away with murdering young Trayvon Martin. Most importantly, "Orange Is the New Black" premiered on Netflix. 2012 was indeed explosive with "50 Shades of Grey", but almost everyone I know is doing their crazy eyes impression right now.

Thank you for the advice. Look at today, all of the originality is gone.  It's just revamp after revamp in this century, so far. I'd much rather watch the original syndicated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon of the late 80s (it was still shown in the early 90s on WPIX 11) over the Nickelodeon one. All of Tim Burton's films with Johnny Depp in them of 00s and early 10s are nowhere near as good as Edward Scissorhands. What happened to the dance floor? No one forms "soul train lines" for anyone to do The Roger Rabbit, The Robocop, The Shopping Cart, The Humpty Dance or The Running Man in these times. Arsenio was back for one year, but his acts stunk. Pfft, Kendrick Lamar calling himself "the black hippy", did he not know that we had De La Soul and PM Dawn before him? The only name brands people wear are Aeropostale and Hollister, ours were much more memorable. I miss Major Damage, Generra, Cross Colors and Z. Cavarrici.

Social media and reality television is all this century is known for so far. The 10s do seem better than the 00s, I'll give them that. The 2000s were the decade of the dumb. Dubbya was President (I missed his Father), Paris Hilton was America's sweetheart and movies with vulgarity were all of the rage. Both decades are boring when compared to the 80s and early 90s.

There will never be another early 90's so you shouldn't compare it. I don't care what the pop culture is, I go more by what's going on in my life as to a year being good or not. Personally 2010 I'd say was the best so far, followed by 2011. Last year was full of drama, and this year I ended two friendships, one on bad terms. At least there have been some good movies to see every year so far.

2011 was my favorite year, if not of the 2010s but within my 22 years of life. It was my first year of college, it was the year that I experienced the good parts of coming of age...also music was a whole lot more interesting that year than it has been in the last 2 years.

In terms of my personal life, my favourite year of the 2010s is 2017, my least favourite is 2012.

Near the bottom, it was tough deciding between 2018 and 2012 pop-culture wise for which one was the worst, but I had to go with 2018 because it had no redeemable qualities but at least in 2012 there may have been a couple songs that were listenable. 2013 was by far, no question about it, the best year of this decade pop-culturally by far.
